I have to force myself to watch the ne from at least 3 sources just to get 1/2 the picture. A lot of people would rather drop dead than listen to FOX, CNN, ABC, Bretbart, etc...but if you don't challenge your go to media yo do yourself the injustice. Sometimes those whacky conspiracy theorists from the left AND the right get it right. Imagine getting Intel on the battlefield from only one questionable source. You'll find yourself at a much higher chance of walking into a bear trap.

I have always explored the news from multiple sites. I've simply changed the mix over the years depending less on newspapers and news magazines these days. Never much trusted broadcast media

I know you pain. My wife complains that I mumble to myself while watching the evening news. I’m actually thinking about all the incorrect and not factual information they are providing people. You’re right, it is painful.

Something actually objective, how refreshing. This just verifies that we can't trust anything we see without seeing the raw data on it. I would only add that the one questionable area of this story is that it states the media before the internet was objective. I believe any of us who have lived and observed for any amount of time know that's not really true either; they just guarded their bias a little better so people couldn't see it. can anyone say Walter Cronkite?

The media has always been subjective. I've looked at newspaper reporting from the 19th Century forward (keep in mind that many of the great American authors began as journalists such as Mark Twain). Almost every town had two newspapers with opposing points of view and they clashed on their opinion pages. Generally, they kept the news objective, mostly by keeping it brief. Who? What? Where? When? How? That's all you needed for a good story. The shift began in the 60's after Woodward and Bernstien became celebrities for taking down Nixon. The Internet didn't appear until the 80's. So, the narrative in this presentation seems accurate to me.
