Situation normal, these IRS tax rules have been in effect for decades and millions of people use it. The only variable is the amount, I used it my self years ago when my homebuilder went out of business, for five years, I had a loss of $3000 until the $17K was credited. Hillary has used it and the New York Times has used it. Strange how it is a big deal just before the elections, or is it? Why would you have to pay taxes on money you never received?

SSG (Join to see) - The same amount, I earned mine and paid taxes on it. Something that has been ignored by the media. What would be fair about taxing the same dollars twice?
