I believe that this incident occurred in 2014. The linked article is current but makes no mention of the date it happened. I wish they had been honest about it rather than seemingly attempting to hide that fact.
To be fair, it's still horrible regardless of when it happened. And, I'm concerned that it generally is not a well known incident which gives rise to the suspicion that the story may have been somewhat suppressed (although it did appear on the Kelly File on Fox TV - wouldn't you know it - those wascally weporters at Fox)
Still, those of us concerned with Islamic terrorism (please forgive me, Mr President, for using that phrase), it doesn't help when we dredge up old news and present it as though it's current

This deplorable incident happened on Sept. 25, 2014 SSgt (Join to see). The autopsy of Colleen Hufford indicated that she fought back against her attacker Alton Nolen who beheaded her.
The most recent news I found is that sentencing in Moore beheading case called off while the defendant's competency is evaluated yet again.

Alton Alexander Nolen, 32, has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the beheading of a co-worker, Colleen Hufford. He also pleaded guilty to assault and battery with a deadly weapon for trying to behead another co-worker.
