I agree. Until we show that people will receive punishment for actions against their country, we cannot expect things to change. We went years with no major issues, but now we have gotten soft on punishment and have problems right and left. Hell, we have someone running for president that "accidentally" may have leaked info. Still running for president because she wasn't prosecuted. Time to wake up America and hold people responsible for their actions.

Physical access trumps a lot, but it isn't a full proof way of avoiding detection. Him coming from BAH, it's conceivable he could have had some level of administrator access. Just goes to show we need to conduct better security interviews and implement more capabilities which can detect this activity.

It doesn't help when people build cultist-like support around people like Snowden, making him out to seem like some kind of hero. I realize it's hard to accept the government's word that they are doing all they can to comply with the law while keeping the methods secret but that's the catch 22.

I have stopped trying to figure out why people do somethings so incredibly stupid, whether or not for some perceived "greater good".
