This is why we can't have good things. Prepare for another safety briefing.

I love how some are completely outraged by this , but every one of you who have served in the military have had that "hold my beer" moment and done something only a dumbass fresh out of high school away from mommy and daddy for first time young servicememeber would do but you will never admit it. Now I've been stern with a soldier that pulled a stupid prank and to be honest I have recommended art 15 for a couple that were so stupid they got caught and i agree with the one guy if you pull an awesome prank that you know what get you in trouble don't friggin film it dumbass. But out of everytime I have chewed a soldier out for doing something wrong afterwards I have sat around and laughed about it with other NCO'S as my job is too make sure you do things right but when I'm away from the troops even my old ass can respect a good prank and miss the days I was that stupid. So everyone up in arms, take the stick out of your asses and try to remember you use to be this stupid too, quit lying to yourselves.

Plus, a flash-bang is not a joke. If you're telling the rest of us to take the stick out of our asses, let me promise you that if you ever did this to me, my foot would be up yours. There's the potential to lose life, limb or sight with the misuse of this. That is not funny.

CW3 (Join to see) - you have totally missed my point, my point was how everyone's outraged but we have all done stupid things as privates and if one of my soldiers misused live ordinance like this and I caught him, I would burn his ass and he would rue the day he was born. But nobody got hurt and even though it was stupid and i would never pull this prank (but I have pulled ones almost as bad) it was still hilarious and all those acting morally outraged by it and acting like they never did a stupid ass stunt like this as a private are lying to themselves. Lets take for example I wonder how many people on here that are outraged went out drinking as a private and got behind the wheel drunk but made it home without getting caught, now they could have killed someone but that's just the way teenagers who are privates are , they don't think and they do stup I'd things sometimes. I'm not condoning what these guys did, but I find it hilarious how many act like they haven't never done something stup I'd as a private.

yeah except youre missing the part where a flashbang is a weapon which produces some shrapnel. yes most of us did dumb shit. but no most of our dumb shit doesnt involve using a weapon on our brothers in arms who also happen to be expensive military assets.

This does however remind me of when Stelzer blew himself out of the crapper in Costa Rica. We had burn out latrines set up and someone mixed way to much mogas with the diesel in one of the pans. Signs were posted for no smoking in the crappers but Stelzer was our version of Carl (only much more helpful) and decided he was going to have a smoke. When he flicked his ashes into the pan, the crapper went off like a firecracker and there was Stelzer on the ground out front well singged with his trousers around his ankles. Gotta love troops!
