Don't invite the commander if he/she is an ass. It's your retirement!!!

Leave it to the Air Force to protect their commanders when they make an enormous ass of themselves. Hold your retirement off-base, this is apparently what it's coming to. Unless your blessed with a "change of command" ceremony, your's is not important!
As for the MRFF, get bent! If this is how an individual wants to reflect on their service, then let them. Just make all retirements ceremonies voluntary.
