I am sick and tired of these idiots who are trying to destroy our history. We have already lost too many statues to protestors who know not what they are protesting. Have a big fight here over a Confederate Monument on private ground but, it can be seen from Interstate 10 so "tourists" protest. It still stands!!

Really? I would say they know quite well what they are protesting. Slavery, disenfranchisement, bigotry and treason. Anything else is self-delusion and whitewash of history. These statues were not erected to celebrate anything, they were meant to lie and intimidate.

SPC Robert Conway - All true, but,--a part of history that needs to be remembered not forgotten, like the concentration camps WW II, like 9/11. Korea has already been forgotten.

SSG Donald H "Don" Bates There is a huge difference between rememberance and celebration. These graven images should removed and replaced with statues of real heroes, the 'Northern aggressors' or Underground Railroad conductors, or other periods of historic significance. The treason these monuments represent is inspiring domestic terrorists like Dylan Roof and deepening racial divides.

SPC Robert Conway - Sorry I just don't see it that way. I lost a grand uncle who joined up to free the slaves of the south, and the "Rebels" were indeed wrong in their fight but, some deserved recoginition.
