You should see their heavy one! I think they mean light because of its minimal carrying capacity not physical specifications.

Exactly - In Iraq, we had a few RG-33 MRAPs...we used to call them the school bus. The engineers who did RCP for us had their Buffaloes, which were similar in size. I forgot the weight of the RG-33, but I do recall on a night op, the road collapsed underneath the weight of the RG-33. I had to use a wrecker, and an IMG MaxxPro (to anchor the wrecker) to get it unstuck. Good times in Iraq.

MAJ (Join to see) - Captain; That could be, but the JLTV has (approximately) the same carrying capacity as what used to be known as the "Deuce and a half".
"Light" would be the same carrying capacity as what used to be known as the "Jeep" (since replaced by the HMMWV [and to be replaced by the JLTV])
"Medium" would be the same carrying capacity as what used to be known as the "Five Quad" (roughly a 1.25 ton capacity pickup truck).

The JLTV has a similar carrying capacity to the HMMWV, it's just heavily armored. Still 5 guys and paltry rear storage.
