As a radio DJ who does a once a month program featuring little known and Indie artists, I have to admit I tend to stay away from sites like Bandcamp and Soundcloud. I usually check various blogs which report heavily on the scene, then go from there. If they link to a BC or SC page, then I'll check it out, but otherwise it's like finding a needle in a haystack for good music.
