I grew up in the Sticks, outdoors, in the hills... Nature is always better than anything man made. All my old haunts are gone, paved over track homes built in them. All the "wilderness" is being "tamed" for strip malls and Walmart's. Its sad.

"…the old Lakota was wise. He knew that a man’s heart, away from nature, becomes hard; he knew that lack of respect for growing, living things soon led to lack of respect for humans, too. So he kept his children close to nature’s softening influence."

You do have to be raised in it to know it's magic.

Col Rebecca Lorraine - I wouldn't know. I was raised in it and I'm reminded by it every day I spend in the city.

SGT (Join to see) - I live on a small farm. I sleep on my porch when it's not too cold. The quiet and birds, horses, dogs, have been great after 25 years in Tampa. But when I travel to Washington or New York I'm reminded of the fire ant mounds that have been disturbed.

Col Rebecca Lorraine - I'm so "jelly". Its much more peaceful that industrial man-made noise.

they never took more than they could use and never more than they could move...
