Someone is already trying to blame Clinton and or the n media for this one, Some folks need serious help.
This is not as serous as Clintons problems but watching him hoist alongside his own Petard is pure comedy. the local media is having some fun with this,

HUGE difference if you understand anything about this subject. Had Clinton used the State Department servers as she was obligated to do, she would not have had this problem. This was a case in which she kept information which belonged to the American people and tried to hide and then destroy it. Pence did no such thing. When discovered, Clinton's attempt to destroy the data brought a lot more heat on her. It forced the FBI's hand to recover the data and report what they found. i.e. Official government records, which is illegal to destroy... Highly classified information, which is illegal (and dangerous) to have on those servers... and the fact she had the servers in the first place for her primary means to conduct government business (also illegal).
Had she done the right thing, the FBI would not have had to recover the data, Judicial Watch would not have gotten very much, and Clinton would have likely been granted executive privilege (which is similar to what Pence is doing now). Furthermore, the servers/email would have been better protected.
Stop trying to find similar behavior to rationalize Clinton's illegal activity and just condemn her for it. It was wrong, it was unprecedented, and she should be punished for it. Losing the Presidency is not enough. Clinton's actions were irresponsible, negligent, unrepentant, and worst of all, criminal.

In spite of what you said the Clinton email controversy has set a new precedent, in which if any official has any appearance of impropriety, then they are guilty until proven innocent. Keep in mind, I'm not attempting to justify what Hillary did. I agree with you, as she should have came clean from jump and gotten whatever was in those emails open in the open. However, in that same vein, Pence should do the same thing. For as long as this email controversy has raged, the one sentiment has been echoed by everyone including you Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin was "If she's not hiding anything, why won't she release her emails?" Granted I don't think that it will last as long as Clinton's controversy but if Pence isn't hiding anything, he should come clean.

What is the same thing? Recover the emails he lost? He didn't lose them? Explain an unauthorized server which transmitted classified? That never happened. Pence is trying to make a case for executive privilege and or attorney/client correspondence for emails which are not going anywhere.
Another thing to note is that the rules/laws for Indiana vs Federal records are not the same. You're looking to equate the two issues when they are very different. The issue with Clinton wasn't started on her giving up all her email, Judicial Watch only wanted specific ones, then discovered she's doing something illegal by operating unauthorized servers. After that, the contents were not as important as the fact that she was hiding the information through illegal means. Had she used the correct methods for IT, NONE of this would have happened to her. At best, Judicial Watch would have uncovered some mildly interesting email which could be interpreted several ways depending on the spin and your political preferences.
Please don't assume that I cared what was in those emails (other than the fact there was classified information). I was concerned from a professional stand point where a high level leader broke the laws which I advise others on. My concern was learning this same leader was actively hiding and destroying official records, operating unauthorized servers, transmitting classified information (which I don't need to know what specifically was in their and neither does the rest of the world). I don't care about the specifics detailed in this information, I care about the overall irresponsible and negligent behavior, to which I do not want other leaders using as an example. That would make my already difficult job even more difficult and it would compromise our national secrets.
