Yes he was 2LT Andre, but I read an article last evening that stated he had asked the organization for an opportunity to win his job back. I have not verified the article, so I do not swear that it is factual

Ironically I think it was the injuries that extended Romo's career. Had he been healthy all this time, I believe he would have been released long ago.
