You know there is a time and place for everything. These people did exactly what was asked of them to become citizens of this country. They had to learn the Constitution. They know better than those outside protesting that the Freedom of Speech is guaranteed in this country. Why would you make a great day for new Americans about politics? Truly tasteless, no matter your politics.

Why does it have to be about anybody other than the people that just became Americans?

PO1 John Crafton Sorry, that was not meant to be accusatory to you. I think it was inappropriate. Something like welcome aboard, vote or work hard would have been just fine.

PO1 John Crafton Well My standard answer right now for everything is. "Don't worry Trump will fix it."

"Hey Bill when you going to get those reports done?" "Don't worry about it, Trump will fix it!" Then I stick my hand up for the high 5. (Nobody can resist a high 5.) Once I give the kick ass high 5, I let out a loud "WHOOOOOOOO!" and just walk away. Nobody has a clue what just happened. I have not had to do shit for 2 weeks.

Is what happened to the VP-Elect on Friday after watching a performance of Hamilton any different than what this judge did?

I think what we are seeing is people looking to voice their thoughts and ideas and understanding what it truly means to have a captive audience.

PO1 John Crafton - The problem is this...do we only hold officials accountable or do we hold everyone accountable regardless of their job title? I think one major issue that has been seen over the last few months is this blanketing of people's actions with the 1st Amendment. Sure, people have the right to say what they want but I've seen a lot of double standards recently.

One example was the whole kneeling for the National Anthem "craze" that hit football. It started with one player then moved to include more NFL players than high school teams started and it just continued. While these people have the right to say what they want, they were also representing an organization, their team. So do we hold the team accountable? Do we just wave it off as the right to free speech or do we hold everyone accountable ?

PO1 John Crafton - I share those exact thoughts. I can say whatever I want but if I do it from my company address, I'm probably going to get fired.

Does this mean if you didn't like Obama you should have spent the last 8 years in self exile too?

PO1 John Crafton - We have discussed this before do I have to claim Trump as my president or just THE president. All throughout Obama's term we have heard he is not my president, so why does Trump have to be my president??
So if I don't like it I can leave yes, but why should I? I don't like a lot of things but don't run away from them. I stay and use my voice and vote to change things.

I doubt he'd say the same about the current POTUS. Telling someone if they don't like they should go elsewhere is as childish as Rosie O'Donnell's "threat" to make a run for the border.
