21 Photos That Show Just How Bad The Flooding In Houston Really Is

@COL Lee Flemming These pictures do a good job of showing how bad the flooding was and still is in some parts of Houston. I lost part of my roof during Hurricane Alicia, and had a 90 foot pine tree fall on my house during Hurricane Ike, and went through countless floods and severe weather. I moved from the area two years ago since I was retired and could move.

To this day parts of Houston are still under water. Hwy 6 north and I10 are still closed. This city has taken a big hit this time, and it's going to take a long time to recover from the devastation of it too. I love how this city has banded together with the rest of the country in the effort to start cleaning up and rebuilding.

I now hope that the same will happen in Florida as well. That towns will band together and start the process of cleaning up and helping out each other.

Prayers for Texas and Florida as the rebuilding and recovery process begins.
