As soon as I saw thew headline the first thing I thought of was the Ma Deuce.

Surprised the M1 Garand wasn't listed, older than the M14 (which is based on the Garand) and still technically in use for ceremonial duties, drill use and for marksmanship competitions.

the Garand's , were in use in many of our allied nations till the 90's
we used to see them in the PI and Thailand up to 94... the Turks and Greeks had them issued till the early 80's
the 14 were still in use in Haiti when we went in there in 1994...

I got several of them, but sadly I didn't know this was including both Air, and ICBM's weapons.

Then we can classify the M60 as the longest standing used tank in our armoured units
