A mandatory National voter I.D. law and database would prevent illegal aliens and dead people from voting as well as citizens voting in multiple States. Why have the Democrats fought against voter I.D. if they are concerned about vote manipulation and the one person, one vote idea?

Is it racist to show an ID to cash a check or fly on a commercial aircraft? NO! If I have to show my ID to board a US airline then I see no reason NOT to show one to vote. PERIOD.

Not necessarily the illegals as CA has been trying (may have done it by now) to push thru a bill that allows illegal's to have a drivers licence. I am all for showing ID in the election, but in Missouri you must show your birth certificate to get your DL or State ID.

Undocumented immigrants can in fact get driver's licenses in California, but they cannot vote because the personal information on the ballots are verified through the DMV and the Social Security Administration.
