I can see a lot of users tagging it "fake" for no other reason than they don't like the content or it goes against their own ideals.

I can imagine that also. I used to spend a little time on FB and had a few hundred "friends" but got tired of it. Many were there to show how successful they have been to friends from 40 years ago. Some of the comments were far outside the norm and at first I tried to correct the record by providing facts to support them. Some were just rude and made it "unsocial media", and it's a waste of precious time to get involved in that. I have used their tagging thing a very few times in the past, and only when something was totally pornographic or inspired hatred. Almost every time the FB people would respond that it doesn't meet there blah blah blah criteria. It was neat at first but became a time bandit and just stopped being enjoyable when I realized I had little in common with most of them. I still have family members and the feeds of my "likes" but it's not a chore anymore. It's just something that I enjoy and only spend a few minutes on from time to time.

It's still going to require a second look by Facebook... if only to flag people who tag real news as being fake because they don't like it. Facebook made more than 2 billion dollars over just the past couple months... perhaps they should consider hiring a few dozen people to at least review the reviewers.

they're probably working on something that combines a sniffer (word search) program and algorithms so no humans are even involved, that seems to fit Zuckerberg's model - minimum people with maximum profits...and then funnel off the names of repeat reporters and sell to Big Brother and/or media so they can improve their "fake news" best practices

interesting ... Face Book can't even keep them selves straight... they are too busy rooting out those who oppose the Views of the owner and banning them from posting for a week to 10 days at a time...
