A pardon is supposed to be something that is granted in rare and extreme cases, why do I have the feeling that there will be some real dirt bags in this group?

Perhaps we should hear from some of the victims of the crimes committed by 231 felons many serving life sentences. The forgotten people are always the victims (direct and indirect) of the person being pardoned.

If there were proof these cases were seriously vetted and these people merited clemency that would be one thing. I doubt that to be the case. Obama will never feel the sting should one or many of these people commit another crime. Some other schmuck will bear that burden.

These people were arrested, charged, convicted and incarcerated under laws on the books passed by a legislature legitimately. The clemency provision is being grossly overused and misused by the president. No surprise, he likes letting criminals out of jail, like a good progressive.
