Executive Order was made to enable the President to apply extra pressure to an existing law - not create new ones. I blame the congress for allowing this to stand as much as I do him. Why wouldn't he do what he wants when no one tells him no?

I guess we shouldn't be too surprised. But what we prevent ourselves from doing, even when no one says "no", is pretty close to the definition of integrity.

NOT an Executive Order. Congress gave the President the Authority to do this 60+ years ago, but the next Congress can take it back by amending or rescinding the law that gave the authority. Assuming they can overcome their own institutional inertia long enough to do something useful.

no freakin way this is permanent. obama can call it anything he wants but his delusional butt will get a wake up call when Trump comes into office and undoes his executive order with another executive order.

Don't Worry. It is coming. It will take a week to have congress change the law. So not a big deal.

SGT William Howell - how? They won't be able to because you need 60 votes to bring it to the floor. The gop only has 52.

1LT (Join to see) Good point. I keep thinking about the simple majority that was enacted. Not sure if that would apply to this. Good point.
