Should fit right in, his predecessor grew the national debt by about $10T, that far exceeds Trumps IOUs, real or imagined. Wonder if Trump will saddle future taxpayers with his debts?

I fail to see how Trump's personal business dealings have anything to do with the national debt. Please enlighten me.

MSG Joseph Cristofaro - Give me a freaking break. The credit rating went down because of the inability of this do nothing Congress to work together specifically the obstructionist nature of Republicans. Their M.O. is shutting down the government and refusing to pay the bills. It didn't matter to them because it was Obama's administration. Well you know what Barrack "Two Terms" Obama is leaving office so your deflection of the article makes no sense. Your argument is Obama ran up the debt so it's ok that Trump doesn't pay his bills.

"The political brinksmanship of recent months highlights what we see as America's governance and policymaking becoming less stable, less effective, and less predictable than what we previously believed. The statutory debt ceiling and the threat of default have become political bargaining chips in the debate over fiscal policy."

Al Sharpton, who counseled Barack Obama, and visited the White House dozens of times was relieved of the burden of the almost $5 million in unpaid taxes he owed the IRS. Be sure of the accuracy of your sources and try to keep things in perspective. Trump doesn't have blood on his hands.

Hey let's bring in Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, Wesley Snipes and anybody else that doesn't have anything to do with Trump's bills into the conversation. YOU probably need to verify your sources CPT because your implication that the president gave Sharpton a hookup on his tax bill is false. Where is the proof? The only people running with that story are right wing batshit crazy fake news sites.

SSG (Join to see) - Can you explain why he hasn't been prosecuted? Did he play the race card or was it black privilege?

Capt Jeff S. - Does everyone that owes taxes go to prison? No. He says he has an agreement with the IRS to pay down his debt. Maybe that's something you can't seem to comprehend since you're all caught up in this racial angle. He's Black. Obama's Black so it must've been some kind of Black thing huh?
