We were preping to send our advance party and our SERT (Seabees Engineer Reconansence Team). So they could start preparing to do ingagment drills and manuver fire drills a new concept for us.

Sorry I was talking about wrong war. I do remember this though, we were already on ground up north about 10-15 miles from border building Tent camps for Marines to move up and get ready to go up to the border. This is when all Drills stopped Gas, bunker, air attack (Yes), incoming, Intruder in camp all drills in theater were to stop from this point on the next ones would be real. The first time incoming, and then Gas, Gas,Gas went off man that was a real eye opener.
