The Berkeley Newspaper just published 5 editorials that are openly arguing that violence is a justifiable response to free speech that you disagree with. What's funny is that at the same time that the UC Berkeley Chancellor was claiming that "these weren't our students! Our students were peaceful protesters!" and others were trying to claim that the thugs were actually "Breitbart affiliated right-wingers", the students themselves were writing these op-eds to not only defend the violence, but claiming to be part of the black bloc themselves that night! My take-away from these idiots is "violence is never the answer unless someone disagrees with you".

Violence in these situation is always wrong...ALWAYS. There was a time when those on the Left were the voices opposing these criminals, and not they abet and spawn them. Their internalized hate has turned them into actual bigots they think they are opposing?
The saddest part to most of these protest to me, is that these 'people' have decided to dress all in black and march together under a foreign, or an archaist, flag AND law enforcement and local politicians have no problem sitting back and watching the violence happen? Who are the Fascist, who are the bigots and we are We the People allowing our Nation to come under attack?

The criminal elements at this riot did not care about anything having to do with the Constitution are the Bill of Rights, all sane people realize this and thankfully more and more people are waking up to their insanity the more they whimper about not getting their way.
I am very troubled that law enforcement and local leaders allowed it to get so out of hand?

Violence begets violence- from people that are supposed to be so educated, this seems to be the most illogical, ignorant, close-minded response I have ever heard. This defies conversation, and to brag about being "open minded free thinkers" is hypocritical in its purist form. I honorably served to preserve EVERYONE'S right to free speech, not just a select few. JS
