Yes they really do. I myself almost became a victim of such tragedy, but with the constant help from my leadership I've became much better.

Emphasize sobriety no drug use AA/NA spirituality because if you don't mention sobriety if you don't mention smoking and addictions and replacing one addiction for another they're never going to come clean and they're never going to feel good about themselves.
