I have a similar situation right now. I have a former SM who I hired into an entry level position just to get him in, with the hopes of something opening up that would take advantage of his skillset. We discussed this plan during and after the hiring process. It may be a month, or it may be a year. Or longer.
Now after only a month he is showing signs of resentment at being "overqualified & underutilized". This has already put a bad taste in the mouth of several members of our leadership team. He is now being viewed as if he has a sense of entitlement. I plan on sitting down with him to discuss humility and perseverance. Any words of wisdom?

Interesting viewpoint of military service. I believe many military personnel collaborate effectively in and out of service.
