The ROI on a degree is not as high as taking that same money to start a business, and learn from that while networking within the real world. I agree more with the Peter Theil philosophy, you can learn and network better with the 100-400k that you spend on college. Just use modern technology to learn faster and hypernetwork on social media.

I'm with you on this. The world is changing and it will be interesting to see if schooling is still pushed the same as it has been over the past few years.

Most of my peers who were very qualified immediately found good job when we graduated with our accounting degrees, the individuals who struggled to get a job found themselves getting their Masters degree in lieu of a job. Eventually we all got our masters degrees, the direct masters degreed individuals appear to have had the hardest time career wise. I'll take experience over an education, and education and experience over just experience any day of the year.

I'm heading right in to grad school in order to expand my knowledge, have a bit more of a bargaining chip for salary, and get it outta the way. The time will come when I will have to balance a bit of work with too. I going to grad school gives me a leg up.
