Reminds me of my old Army days. Now that I am in the Air Force, my morning routine in the field consists of tough decision making, like whether I want the pancakes or the scrambled eggs at the hotel breakfast. LOL

Thanks for perpetuating the myth, SMSgt Thor Merich! You know we have both scrambled eggs AND pancakes at the Holiday Inn Express! LOL

Years ago as young private I was taught stand too, in too, then transition to 1/4 of the platoon performed guard, 1/4 did maintenance on vehicles/equipment, 1/4 did rifle maintenance on rifles, 1/4 went and ate, and it rotated out.

Pack up night gear and prepare for morning meal then wash up and brush our teeth. Top off water bottles and pack up camp. Police the area before moving on to the next leg. Day three would be pack up night gear, then hygiene such as shaving.
