"Ride of the Valkyries" from Apocalypse Now. I hear it and it take me to the movie.
"Paint it Black" makes me think of Tour of Duty TV show from the late 80's.

About the one really enjoyable scene from the guilty pleasure "Battleship" was the crew getting the Mighty Mo fired up to AC/DC's Thunderstruck. That was a damned good selection for the moment.

SSgt Ryan Sylvester definitely a guilty pleasure movie. You are right though that whole sequence (regardless of how stretched it is in believability) is a fun scene to watch.

PO3 Steven Sherrill - Yeah, there was something really heartwarming about watching those old salts from all different eras bringing their ship back to life to fight one last time. That was the one thing that movie got right... not actors, but actual vets who had served aboard her (and probably did run her as a museum ship). The movie in general was fun, but you had to leave a lot at the door. Just like "Awesome Dumb Robot Movie" AKA Pacific Rim.
