This guy is really good at dodging the issue. He did nothing to improve the VA as the #2 to McDonald and he is still doing nothing as the #1 guy. If you listen to him... 'We are monitoring the situation'... REALLY! You are the Secretary of the VA. If the Civil Service codes will not permit you to fire them now... Give them a room to sit in from 9 to 5, no computer, no TV, no iPhone. They can not be fired but they can be removed from doing further harm on your order. Happens all the time... JUST DO IT! Congress will catch up in time... but no more excuses!

Here is an update:
The demoted head of D.C.’s Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital is now in a high-ranking post at the VA’s headquarters, according to NBC4 in Washington. Brian Hawkins’s new role follows his April demotion, which was prompted by a government watchdog's scathing report warning that patients at the VA center in Washington, D.C., were at risk due to staffing deficiencies and inventory management. He had been in the post since 2011.
The Hill has reached out to the VA for comment regarding Hawkins’s new position.
The VA said in April it would take additional disciplinary actions if appropriate.
Now I'm a reasonable person but can anyone on RP provide s justification for such actions? The VA Sec. Is about a big a limp d**k as ever there was. And now he wants more authority... he does not use the authority he has! My wife is a a retired SES and makes it clear that the OPM tools are in place if you care to use them. So again I ask where is the outrage my fellow warriors... or are we just going to lay down and submit.

If they can't be fired how about a transfer to the DEW Line? Maybe they'll quit or run out of shelter? There has to be a way to make things better. What can we do?
