MSgt George Cater How about we ask the people of London, or Paris if we live in a dangerous world. Since this is the one year anniversary of the Orlando night club massacre, how about asking the people who lost family in that stupid act of cowardice if we live in a dangerous world. In boy scouts there is a very simple motto. "Be Prepared." In this world of uncertainty, being prepared doesn't mean being afraid someone will try to harm you or your family. It means being prepared to protect them, with your life if necessary. Being a responsibly armed citizen is a part of the preparedness required by this crazy world we live in. Is it the be all end all solution? Of course it isn't. There will always be times when the best course of action is to simply not be where the circumstances place one in harm's way. It is also ludicrous to think that not believing the world is a dangerous place makes the world not a dangerous place. If that were true, then there would be no need for military, police, firefighters, ambulance drivers, security guards, or any other security measures. TSA would be nothing more than the Wal-mart door greeters of the world. Problem is the world is dangerous. Nations defend themselves with their military. Police officers and security guards work to reduce crime. Firefighters protect our cities and towns from destruction, Ambulance drivers carry those in need to medical care. These people are nuts if they think that any psycho babble bullshit is going to change my mind. In the immortal words of Han Solo: "Hokie religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side kid." It was true in 1977, and it is true today.

Yes we live in a dangerous world, the only reason the liberals don't realize it is because there are well trained people with guns protecting them!
