USS Fitzgerald Badly Damaged After Crash With A Merchant Ship In The Pacific

They aren't saying much about the number and extent of injuries which isn't a good sign. I hope my fears are unfounded and that all the crew is accounted for and that there are only minor injuries.

There is damage below the waterline and flooding (possibly in the forward engine room). Depending on if that's true and the extent the ship could be out of action for a long time.

Depending on who's screw up this is I suspect that the skipper and OOD's career dissipation lights might be blinking mightily angrily right about now.
