I will respectfully disagree with the privacy aspect. I'm of the opinion that we need to sign our ballots, and our ballots should all be paper. It's the only way to combat the sort of voter fraud involving ballot theft. The logical extension of that is that voting records could be made known in certain circumstances.

If it was me in the hot seat, I would certainly want to know the voting record potential jurors. Why? Because I don't expect liberals to honestly answer the question of whether they can listen to the facts and render a fair, firm, impartial judgment.

SSG Brose: Yout thoughtful disagreement is noted. However, there are other ways to determine the eligibility of people to vote without impinging on the sanctity of the voting booth. We in the military aware an oath to defend the constitution and inherit with that is obeying the orders of the Commander in Chief regardless of political affiliation. This is the standard we carry with us at all times. I do not believe that if someone is going to carry a political bias with them into the court room making them declare who they voted for should be the sorting tool of choice. I have enough faith in the UCMJ process that this man will receive a fair, firm and impartial outcome. Now... let's proceed with the trial of this guilty SOB!

LTC Marc King - Was your final sentence a joke? It made me laugh.

What you said about determining eligibility of people to vote being accomplished by other methods than signed ballots is true. But if there is a recount, there is no way to trace the votes and identify any fraud after the fact.
