I remember this one and even then I thought it was jacked up 16 shots, and most while he was already on the ground. Did they ever find any actual weapon, I know they "SAID" he had a knife but you never see it in the video.
Nice to see the shooter is finally being charged and his co-conspirators are being Indicted, still 2 years late, and it wont help the Victim. Sadly its the few bad apples that spoil the image and reputation of the Officers that are just trying to protect the citizens. When you add in the mob mentality of the gen pop it all goes south fast.

I think everyone involved in trying to cover this up should lose their jobs, including the Mayor and the Cook County State's Attorney, and every cop that was on the scene that night.

Van Dyke was charged with first degree murder on Nov 24, 2015. He's free on 1.5M bail. It is disappointing that he was granted bail ... and that it is taking so long to bring him to trial. While I guess it is good that three others are being charged with conspiracy, official misconduct, and obstruction of justice, I don't understand what has taken so long ... and why nobody is yet serving time.

Besides being blind, Lady Justice is also slow. I'm still glad we live in a country most of the time things work out.
