Air Force chief: Bonuses no Rx for pilot crisis

No shit General. Sir, this has been a problem before you were Chief of Staff. Sadly, it's now your job to unfook this mess. Most of your enlisted corps is miserable and most don't qualify for a bonus, definitely not a $35k per year like a CGO would like the article states. Officers are already paid handsomely and CGOs are expected to be away a lot, that's what they do: they learn the job by training in multiple exercises, then put it to use in deployment locations. That's what Airmen (capital A) do. We had an Air Staff member visit my unit a few months back and told us that he doesn't care if people are separating in a critically manned field, but thanks for you service. What message does that send to your most impressionable enlisted folks (E-2's to E-5's)?
