Even though Budweiser is sponsoring this nice ladies education, don't go out and buy a case of beer and get hammered and go out and kill somebody. I have lots of Alcoholics with on wife's side of the family. If you don't have to drink don't. If you do drink, drink responsibly. If you think you drink too much then go to Alcoholics Anonymous and go to their meetings to get the strength not to drink. I have been sober (I was a social Drinker that drank 3 beers a month) since I met my wife since she is into Alcoholics Anonymous. Some of you here on rallypoint are at Alcoholics Anonymous members and have told me on emails that you are and how long you been sober. For those of you can drink a two or three beers and a safe environment and not touch a beer for a few weeks then this message is not really for you. I'm talking about the guys that have to go or should go to a command- directed Alcoholics Anonymous meetings at an active duty base because their command says they have a drinking problem and this is their last chance. My sister committed suicide almost 2 years ago today. She killed herself on the 4th of July. She had a painkiller drug issue and she thought that beer was not considered alcoholic at all. She went to a bar and grill for dinner almost every single day. She had a drinking problem. If you have the shakes or you have to drink a few beers or hard liquor to feel normal then you have a drinking problem! Alcoholics Anonymous phone numbers are available in your area in the white pages or on your local Google search. Sorry to preach to some of you but Budweiser is doing a good thing for this family but you need to drink responsibly. If you wake up in the morning and all you want to do is have a beer or something harder than you have a drinking problem. I am happy for this family getting a scholarship from Budweiser. Happy Fourth of July everybody!
