Military Active-Duty Personnel, Civilians by State

They come from the rural areas or from towns adjacent to military installations (multi-generational service members).

Shortly after Vietnam California had the largest number of vets in the country. They got out there & just stayed... i did.

I am surprised to see so many from California, doesn't seem to be the kinda thing that would interest the Californians we see depicted in the MSM.
