It is a strange feeling because you really don't see much, then the plane is on the ground.

That's like landing in San Francisco -- flying in so low over the bay that it looks like you're going to hit the water and then bam! you're on the runway outta nowhere. Dumbassed Asiana Airlines pilots notwithstanding.
