I wouldn't know where to begin to express the feelings I have about this and other sex-based issues that have "left the bedroom closet" of our American society during the last 30-40 years. If you read the article you will see the author cites several studies which indicate that the gender confusion resolves itself in the majority of cases by puberty, therefore the best treatment is to wait and monitor. Why attempt a fix if it isn't broken? Let's use some common sense.
