I strongly agree but object to the use of "Liberal" vs "Conservative". Well, not so much the use of "Conservative". However, "Liberal" and "Liberty" are words sharing the same root, but those self-identifying as Liberals do everything in their power to destroy liberty. They want to redistribute income (meaning take it away from those who earned it to those who want it). They want government to make decisions that we should be making for ourselves. Etc. Etc. Etc. They aren't really "liberal", are they?

Agreed. However I definitely don't associate liberals with the word liberty... At least not anymore, they have definitely parted ways. As you say, liberals today seem intent on taking away individual personal liberty such as the right to think, vote, make money, practice religion, or own guns, the way I want to. Its clear to me that if anything, so-called "progressive liberals" are "anti-liberty."

CPT Jack Durish - Your an intellectual. When I use the word Lib I'm referring to the crazier side of the Liberals. I do not have a name that fits those that I run into that sounds proper so I have taken to just calling them Libs. I absolutely do pray that you regain your identity back and I can shake hands with an awesome Liberal. P.S. I would not want a society 100% full of Conservatives. Here is a perfect example of a Lib I ran into. This lady stood in front of me during a family party and told me I was racist, don't want women to own land, don't want women to own businesses and want to block good immigrants coming to this country. I was smiling the whole time while she was talking. Then I asked my wife to meet this lady. My wife introduced her to the business that she has ownership in and explained how I encouraged her to obtain her own land in NY while working on her citizenship. Then the Lib lady followed up with "So". I then took the kids out for ice cream. P.S. All because I'm a white conservative.

Liberals have stolen the identity "Liberal" to cover up their true identity: Leftist. "Liberal" sounds more gentle, less threatening to Americans, than does "Leftist".
