The "news" media has, for the most part, always been slanted one way or the other. They print what their customers are willing to pay for. That is why I believe the majority of "media" are much more interested in profit that ideology.

The media was supposed to be impartial; what happens to the fourth estate when it's not? They were supposed to be the watchdogs, keeping the rightful heirs to the legislature informed. They are actively promoting party first. Just sad and the saddest part is "we the people" allow confirmation bias to permeate the narrative without intellectually honest debate instead of holding them accountable.

Definitely much more difficult to tell these days. It is very easy to spin an angle one way or another by how it is reported.
