RP Members and Connections here's a video of the "Old Man" in action on the drums (Me) with his very own classic rock band called "Simple Truth" playing in Denver, Colorado (August 16, 2010) back in the day with my crazy second wife (since divorced & the Lead Singer). A little Classic Rock and Roll for this Monday morning to get us started. There are some great tunes on here - enjoy!

SSG Jon Hill - Yes, I remember that now. He was no liberal. I don't think he had any time for people who weren't capable or are to lazy..(more to the point).. to think for themselves. I am one of the 2 million unemployed comedians in this country.
Funny is found from within. The innate ability to hear the words said and by habit rearrange them in your mind to determine validity is the key. Make it a habit. What is true one way is usually true the other... with the same words albeit it different punctuation and perhaps spelling. In other words a logical statement usually works in reverse as well. "One day does not make a spring." ....conversely a spring is not one day... is also true. We call these truisms for a reason. The logical proof is there for the comparison.
The statement "this could really happen" is logically reversed by the undoubtably correct assumption that the movie star couldn't happen. Comedy is the art of pointing out both the true and the ridiculous simultaneously.. as a rule needing to state only the truth.

SSG Jon Hill - I am just very intelligent. Wisdom has been very slow in coming. I suppose it has come in quite a flood in the past year or so. I have learned many things about our society. Good things here, and for that I am grateful, were it not for RP I would have given up on humanity. There is much wisdom here and I have absorbed some of it. I am still slow and late to pick up on the behaviors in our world which are quite the opposite of what I was fed as a child. I am no saint and the sins and trespasses of my ignorance and willfully held anger are a burden and a hurt to those who love me, I must not forget but I must forgive and earn forgiveness to move on to become reach my potential. Thank you.
