It's funny, in 1991 I was recalled to active duty after having been out three years. I began hormone therapy in 1987, about 6 months before leaving the service. My medical treatment was well advanced and upon recall, the Army was made aware of this which they chose to ignore. I was processed at the induction Center in Fort Bliss forced to strip in a room with 100 men, while standing in my panties with my 38D-26-36 figure on display. Thank God one medic had enough sense to give me a towel.

The Army noted on my medical exam that I had gynecomastia. Lol

I served for a little over two months on active duty and was deployed to the Gulf. So in time of War it appears being transgender is not an impediment to military service.
