I was surprised when I saw the list. I remember reading a majority of these books when I was in school.

Give me a break. This nothing more than liberals PC crap expect for the Harry Potter's series. I can see the ultra-right wingers( Westboro comes to mind) being against them. I admit I only read three of the books. I found nothing wrong with them. With Huckleberry Finn and call of the Wild, you get a peek on how life was and how people of the times thought. Most people that banned books, never read them in the first place. They banned them because they go against what they believe in

I believe it means banned in some schools or certain areas. Ulysses was banned from even entering the country when it first came out.
