I think you need to redo your math. $3B tax incentives over 15 years is $200M/year. Initially they will have 3000 employees, which amounts to $66,666.67/year per employee. They intend to eventually have $13,000 employees which would average out to $15,384/year per employee. The article then goes on to state the factory will produce 22,000 indirect jobs and another 10,000 construction jobs. That's a win for Wisconsin.

Yup, not to mention the increase in property values around the plant and increased property tax collection along with increases in income tax collection of all those folks.

A 10 billion dollar factory being built will create a lot of jobs too. I know you didn't put that in your calculus because you want to complain about anything that is done by this administration. Keep in mind, most of the subsidy is in tax breaks. Guess what Cornell, if they built the plant in China we wouldn't have gotten any of the taxes either so your math doesn't really tell the whole story does it?

It is the single largest investment in Wisconsin in it's history and may spur a manufacturing area for other companies to put plants and jobs into. Everyone is pretty excited about it except seemingly, you.

You want to poke holes and try to make it look like a bad deal. Your lack of business acumen is demonstrated by the cheap shot math you took at it in your comments but march on.

My good man, if I have something to say, I say it and am not really worried if you agree or not. To have conversation, express opinions or just put info out there is a function of this forum.

I cannot be held responsible for what tou "think" I may or may not be hinting at, pointing to or anything which is similar in nature. You are welcome to keep trying though.

I hope this actually comes to pass I'm also curious to see how the Chinese factory model is modified in the US. In China, FOXCONN's Apple factory is known for its harsh working conditions, forced overtime and low pay. They actually had to put up nets around the building to catch the workers who were committing suicide. It's hard to imagine American workers doing such mind numbing repetitive work for low pay for very long. But if they change the model and pay better, it will be tough to compete on price with the same products assembled overseas. So it will really be interesting to see how this plays out.
