I think it would be entirely fair to say that liberals have a difficult time addressing Asians in in the context of defending affirmative action. Interesting article ... particularly since it essentially has CNN defending Trump's administration against the New York Times.

Okay, let's say my great-great grandfather stole a horse. Should I be hung for horse theft? No, I am not in any way condoning his behavior, just as I find the whole notion of slavery, Jim Crow-ism, and discrimination despicable, and have fought it in my own time. [BTW, my great-great grandfather didn't steal anything to my knowledge. He may have, but I don't have a clue about any of my fore-bearers beyond my immediate grandparents. Nor did any of them own slaves. I am descended from the poorest of peasants and coal miners, the first of whom didn't arrive in America until the late 19th Century. However, to be fair, my father was a bigot, a virulent bigot which is in large measure why I have rebelled against such behavior] Also, I have seen no evidence where Affirmative Action has accomplished any good. Indeed, authorities report that most who gain college admission under such programs quickly fail while those minority students who gain admission on their own merits excel.

Jim Crowism is not gone at all, it is just more subtle, I do believe in affirmative action but it should be based on the schools attended and that would still help black people harmed by the newer version of Jim Crow in underfunded inner city schools. But it would help a;ll the other harmed by the racist BS that makes those schools so underfunded,
My eldest t was advised to mark the white race block since it would lower his SAT requirement to enter the University by 20 points.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - Who said Jim Crowism is gone? Or bigotry and discrimination for that matter? If anyone thinks they are dead, allow me to introduce you to a few members of my family.
