I can only imagine how that was received. At the time, equestrian training was on par with drill and ceremonies.

Interesting how times change. Of course, all infantryman were still issued swords up until the 1920s.

To truly understand a horse, one must become one with it. The same is true in dealing with most animals, you have to get on their wavelength. But cats rule the roost, they don't care what you think.
