Interesting, I make no assertions towards his guilt or innocence but it seems the Navy is unable to beat him legally are looking to remove his council there by hamstring him in the court room. I think in the Civi world this would be construed as packing the court and violating someone's right to council... Which is illegal. I look forward to seeing how this plays out.

I to make no assertions about his guilt or innocence, but everyone should know the UCMJ is really just trying to "Maintain good order and discipline" in the military. It could care less about Guilt or Innocence.

I am a military rape survivor, and there is no way I want "justice" when the accused is not given a fair shot at defending himself. The military notoriously convicts the innocent to show "progress" in their efforts to handle issues of violent crime that should have been dealt with long ago.

As long as the chain of command is involved in the prosecution and adjudication of violent crime there can be no justice for either the complainant nor the defendant. A separate, impartial military judiciary is necessary to even broach the notion of a fair day in the courts-martial proceedings. Protections for procuring evidence are equally necessary, with stiffer penalties for obstruction of justice.
