"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

When did you ever need a permit to exercise your rights. The only thing he has is "peacefully assemble".

MSgt Robert C Aldi -
NY is a horrible example as they infringe on the rights of citizens all the time (gun laws). But I get what you're saying.

MSgt Robert C Aldi - A permit was already issued to a sizable crown, legal tht also permits people whop want to protest against the vomitus that marched.

I wouldn't think so, as they should know better, but I've been disappointed before.

SSG Jessica Bautista - not all police depts. are truthful, there are good ones and bad ones, just depends on where you live, and how honest the dept. really is.

I would assume that police departments wouldn't officially put out easily disproven statements. You're right though.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth - I served several years with a city police department and my county sheriff's office. It's a lot like our Army days....cops go where they are sent, and are only as good as their training& leaders. Leadership or the lack of it will dictate how well or poorly Law officers serve the people they (used to be me) are sworn to protect. A local government will cover their butts and try to spin any situation as positively as they can to avoid blame and liability. The smart and larger governments cover themselves with millions in insurance and have lawyers on retainer when allegations of neglect, abuse or dereliction are leveled. More protests over statue removal are planned, the next one in Louisville KY, is what I heard yesterday although no permit has been issued (yet) for that location. As you and I always say, interesting times we are living in. We'll see what happens, Cheers, brother. Interesting topic, sister SSG Jessica Bautista. I hope you and family are well. Thanks for your service and stay safe.

Anything from the Wash Post had zero credibility. Biased, hard-left newsletter of the Democratic Party.
