I too am waiting to see what they have upgraded or if this is just the release of mods they made to qualify for the government contract.

All depends upon your definition of "Upgrade". Finger Grooves (or removing them), accessory rails, different stippling, different finish, ambidextrous safety/mag release, changeable back straps, are all "Upgrades" of the past. They are really incremental changes instead of a big upgrade. I expect more of the same type of "Upgrades" I expect just the manual safety to be the big "Upgrade" this time around.

But it would be cool if they went to a full modular chassis ala the Sig P250/320. (that was a requirement for the MHS) Imagine being able to swap grips from the different sizes they currently have or to change calibers easily (well you can kind of do that now, I have a 9mm conversion barrel for my .40 cal G23)

I am a big Glock fan, but some of the past upgrades were disappointing. I hope this is a true upgrade. We will see....
