What's the difference between this and book burning? The statues need to remain not necessarily to celebrate but to be a constant reminder of the warts we carry so the evil will never happen again.

It's not about you, it's about the politicians and democrats who celebrated the dixiecrat south and the jim crow laws enacted by elected officials by democrat voters. it should be a reminder that voting democrat is a really bad idea. Have you listened to or read Malcolm X's "The Ballot or the Bullet" speech?
