I know. Mildly shocking. What kills me are the statements from slugs like Paul Ryan accusing the Dems of using the Harvey relief as leverage in debt ceiling debate as if GOP has never threaten a shutdown before. Besides, it's not like the GOP was ever going to say no to Harvey aid or threaten a shutdown over a border wall. Then again, it's not a done deal yet.

Isn't it interesting that a deal that is good for the American people in that it quickly and cleanly raises the debt ceiling for 3 months so that the aid money can be used for Harvey and possibly Irma victims is called a win for the democrats and the republicans are pissed off it happened?

The Democrats will be pummeled in the mid-terms and Trump knows it. So the deal with them was low risk. More important to get aid to disaster relief then to play politics. BTW, Houston voted primarily for Clinton, I am sure they are watching this whole show and taking notes for the mid-terms.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - Well, starting with Texas.......Hurricane victims not too impressed with Democrats (whom they voted for in the last election) for attempting to tie up aid in Washington DC with politics. Most are angry at the Democratic Mayor of Houston for getting in a pissing argument with the Governor at a critical time (Governor took the high road, thank goodness). We could possibly see Houston flip entirely to Republican......we'll see. Democrats did some damage though with the Hurricane relief. Other areas of the country they are starting to have second thoughts about the Democratic Party. Not so much in New York or California but in the states that are still mixed the Democrats are going to have trouble in 2018

Texas is red andthe idea that the Democrsts have slowed aid is a obvious lie shown by the fact the aid be I'll is moving very rapidly pushed by the Democrats and trump. Did you sleep through yesterday? What district will be flipped by this againt the democrats. The Texas Republicans hypocracy on relief was brought to public attention though.
In other states you seem to be ignoring reality or have dislexia the numbers are moving the o the way.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - I'll wait for your Alarm clock to wake you from your dream land before discussing this further. Just please don't get interviewed by MSNBC with tears in your eyes after the next election. I am sure we have all had enough of that.
